Our Superstar

Both of them performed their best for last night's competition at indoor and i was catching up closely to see if they had their flaws exposed or any screwed ups...Great! They did well!

At the end when they were abt to announce the winner, a sudden surge of mixed feelings just poured onto me and i was darn worried. I am neutral to both finalists lah but yet its like 'Its not surprising that Weilian wins.' or 'Could there be a twist in fate tt Kelly may emerge as the winner?' Well, Weilian is the chosen one and i am indeed happy for him. That's his greatest achievement in his life!

Crudely speaking, the mass population chose him. He is physically disabled and yet he is a SUPERSTAR! Kinda ironic though... =S

Why so? Our society is so pragmatic and we chose him out of compassion or are we touched by his undying spirit and determination? Its like, we feel that Kelly should win yet Weilian also deserves the title. A so-called hollow victory yet we want him to win. I saw the shots where they interviewed people on the streets to see who they wanna support. I note this, supporters of Weilian said e similar thing:"I support Weilian cos as a PHYSICALLY DISABLED person..he can reached this far...blah blah." haiz..its really hard to judge whether he's voted out of sympathy or we are touched his performance. Is this part of human nature? I dont know, maybe i'm like them myself.

"He asked me,Can I don't do this anymore? I'm very tired and scared already.There were too many photo sessions during the period. He was already on the brink of a breakdown, because there were people (in the forum) telling him to fall down etc. He couldn't understand why a singing competition could lead to such unpleasant things like this,Yifeng told us emotionally.


Personally, if he had thoughts of giving up on a competition then i dont expect him to break into the asian market. Maybe in Singapore, he can excel but elsewhere i'm sure he will feel emotionally and physically challenged. =(

As for Kelly, I am glad she have the opportunity to sign a contract with Universal Music. She's superb too! Thought she didnt get the 'Superstar' title ..i'm sure in terms of stage performance and vocals, she will certainly excel.~
