i'm BBQ-ed
Went to Marina for steamboat last sat..boy it was super crowded! Is it a common sight to see restaurants fully packed? Steamboat (only) is a great event for frens gathering but i really hate the smoke of bbq. Gosh..i smelled like a bbq chicken that day. >_<''' I really cant imagine the staff who work there...seriously, i was deprived from oxygen e entire nite but it was fun though. lol. On a budget constraint, we were lucky enough to get a place for ard 20 persons at $11 each. I think discount was given for big groups, usual price is $12 per head.
Its time to cook! This scene reminds me of CNY reunion dinners.. typical setting with the steamboat. See the 'oil vapour' around?
The dishes on our table.. there's still more to come. Okay..i'm a 'sua ku', its my first time seeing 'live sea-animals' being chopped and thrown into the soup. Cos the seafood i normally get during steamboat sessions are freeze dead.
Chicken satay. I dint try this cos i dun like satay. lol. But the review from the rest was good. Btw, overall is not bad. We had an enjoyable time, esp the guys from the 2nd table ate non stop for like 2hrs.. piangz.
Last but not least, group photo with the girls. Cheeerss!
Alrites as mentioned in my previous post, i'm busy on my search with oncidium hybrids. I went all the way down to Woon Leng's at Chua Chu Kang (near Qian Hu fish farm). Damn the place is sooooooooooo ulu, dint bring my cam else i wld have snap the surroundings. Its rather 'forested' just like an old kampung lane but u can find cool stuff in there.
I found Onc.Sharry Baby, the one famous for its vanilla milk chocolate scent. Perfect condition!
A common looking yellow oncidium. Bought it cos its mounted on bark and flowers are bigger in size. -___-'' Still i'm more interested in equitants but they hadnt flower yet. And i got another 'unknown' plant, it hasnt flowered.. so gotta wait but my guess its an odm. hybrid. We'll see, lol.
