i need time!

If i can have 48hrs a day..i'll spend half the day in the kitchen... BAKING! actualli i dun really like to 'bake' *cos i gotta wash utencils* but its pretty fun preparing ingredients, mixing them together and enjoying the 'dessert' *awww...its so contradicting!*

hmm...if i reallyhave the time, i will try baking the 'Chocolate Fondant'.. specially for choco lovers..

it seems simple lah.. but i dunno if i can do the same.LOL

中秋节 is around the corner and also the best time to bake mooncakes. A little secret recipe from the Makanguru, i know how to make 冰皮月饼! Woohoo! *save ur pocket $$$*

ingredients for 6 mooncakes (L size):
1. 150g kao fen (fried rice flour)
2. 200g icing sugar
3. 60g crisco (a kind of margarine)
4. 160ml cold boiled water
5. 1/4 tsp fruit essence (choose pandan or any flavour u like)
6. 1 cap of colouring essence (tat complements the taste)

4 and 5 must be mixed together

filling:
1. 110g lotus/red bean/greentea paste
2. roll into a ball


1. mix kao fen, icing sugar and crisco in a mixing bowl
2. add mixed water and essence(with colouring and fruit essence properly mixed)
3. knead into a dough
4. cut dough abt 60g each and wrap over filling
5. press dough into mooncake mould and knock out for serving
6. coat with flour and chill in the fridge

You're done! Simple but lots of hard work. =D
